My sleep schedule is fucked, I hate it so much. Can't concentrate at all, feel tired all the time, and, worst, it's all my own fault.

I'm sleepy. Had a day of being around on chat for various people who needed to talk about serious things, then was about to detach and relax and ovarit decided to go nuts for a few hours. Couldn't look away, too entertaining, but feels like my weekend vanished into the internet.

My boyfriend successfully toilet trained our cat! Noooo mooooore litter!! I'm very excited, because we finally get to celebrate after a 1.5-2 month process. She's such a smart girl.

I had to go outside today. Passed a poster encouraging people to stay in for lockdown, that made me laugh; it featured a photo of a man in a tracksuit with a quote along the lines of, "I love the game, and the banter after the game, but I know that staying at home is a worthwhile sacrifice we all have to make." I bet they didn't use that poster anywhere fancy. I love imagining the brainstorming meeting, though, like, "Common people, they won't care about statistics, so how do we get them to understand the importance of staying indoors? How do we remind them of the value of human life? They need to hear it from someone like them, someone... who loves football!" I dread to think what the female variant of the poster was like.

I got a vaccine appointment, praise! I live in a different area than most of my coworkers and they were all talking about booking their appointments and I was getting lowkey worried bc it was so hard to find one in my city. But now we'll all be vaccinated :D

and then maybe we'll all go back to in-office work and idk how i'll handle it bc i've gotten so used to working from home lmao

I keep seeing job ads from famous companies that would have never bothered hiring in my local area before. Kind of cool to see it, but wish it hadn't taken a pandemic for them to hire outside their favourite dot on the map.

A scammer is emailing me pretending to be amazon. But they're spoofing my own email address as the sender. So I'm supposed to believe that amazon is mailing me from... myself?

I don't think they thought this through.

I disobeyed my rule of not eating crisps before bed and now I'm paying the price. I'm so. thirsty. If I drink lots of water, I'll need the loo, which will also stop me from sleeping. I'm a fool.

My brain decided last night that what it really needed was a dream where I was stuck on a flight watching shit comedy sketches for two hours. Dream-me was complaining about the quality, but there was nothing else to watch.

There was one sketch with three smiling businessy guys, introducing themselves, on camera from the chest up:

"My name is Harry,"
"My name is Rick,"
"My name is Johnno, I play with my dick!"

And the camera panned out to show him wanking. I did not need to see that.

I really like how dreamwidth doesn't have any kind of 'like' or 'reblog' button. I hadn't realised how much time on other social media I spend in a state of mild panic because I'm afraid of accidentally bumping 'like' on something I don't, in fact, like.

One of my dinnerplates has a big crack down the middle. I'm excited because it means I get to buy a new one; I've had them for 10 years and I don't like how they look, but I didn't want to be wasteful. Though now I'm feeling the pressure to buy the nicest, fanciest plate ever, to replace it.
