It was the painting! The walk to the post office was alright (not the local one so didn't know what to expect, but was a pretty walk with lots of greenery, so didn't feel too long). But the painting was in a huuuuge box that was really hard to carry; I could barely get my hands around the edge and my thumbs felt like they were floating off my body by the end of it. Nobody shouted to us, but we did pass a couple of guys who saw us walking down a narrow path, and, rather than wait in the wider bit, just assumed they had right of way (BECAUSE MEN), barrelled forward, and then seemed vaguely surprised that we hadn't just dissipated somehow.

Got home, took packaging off painting-- it would have been much easier to carry out of the box! Currently attempting to hang it. Already having to disobey commandstrip instructions because they weren't working. Am almost certain we're going to hear a crash in the night. :S
