So it's already aggressively twee and rubbed me up the wrong way, but thing is it's also an email *exchange*, so then after a few days the colleage she is having her funfunfun debate with ~responds~, and it just made me feel like a voyeur toward some weird cliquey duo I never asked to go anywhere near. I don't wanna know about your nickname for your colleague or your views on valentine's day; I don't know either of you. I was actually heartened a bit when I received it the second year because knowing it wasn't spontaneous made it a little less creepy, though the deception itself was also weird.

Date: 2021-06-02 02:04 am (UTC)Though I stayed subscribed *because* their emails creeped me out and I wanted to keep an eye on them. I got the impression they were trying to push hard for "stop people saying mean things on the internet!" but it doesn't really appeal to anyone outside their bubble because everyone else can see that would be a catastrophe.
