I ate a croissant yesterday and forgot to report back to meme. It was good. I am deeply ashamed.

Thank you for your croissant-report! And for breaking the silence, because it turns out that I, too, have a croissant to report.

My tale has more ups and downs, though. For my croissant was several days old, and was thus slightly stale. Moreover, it was filled with chocolate hazelnut spread; to throw it out would have been an unconscionable waste. I therefore consumed the stale croissant by dipping it in my tea.

I am relieved to report that this rejuvenated the croissant, and I was able to enjoy it as if it were a croissant in its prime. My only regret is that I discovered this method halfway through eating the croissant, and suffered through half a stale croissant first. O, what could have been...

I always think bacon croissants look like they ought to be nice, since it's a combo of two great foods, but they always disappoint me. I think my fave is just a plain croissant with loads and loads of salted butter.
