When everyone else rolls their sleeves up, their sleeves stay up. When I roll my sleeves up, they fall down IMMEDIATELY. How do people keep them up??? I may have asked this before...

A few years back, Marks and Spencer made some excellent work trousers that looked like smart work trousers with piping on the front to look like you ironed them, and a fake fly, and thickish fabric that wasn’t too skinny-fit, but they were pull-on elasticated trousers with pockets. I bought many pairs.

Then they stopped making them or anything like them. I kept using my pairs until they have finally disintegrated. They were so comfy. They never had annoying gaps.

Do I invest my time in:

a) campaigning for M&S to bring them back, talking about how they were starting to spread by word of mouth among autistic professional women before production stopped, also complaining that their website doesn’t list or allow me to search by any of these useful features

b) trying to find other trousers to buy so that I am not naked in the workplace

Found out that the dresses I refer to as "octopus dresses" are generally called "split thigh ruffle trim". I think I prefer my name.

Soon it will be too cold for my Smart (secretly designer) T-shirts, but not cold enough for my Smart Woolly Jumpers. I have really struggled to find a week’s worth of Smart Moderately-Warm Tops.

Are wigs "clothes"?

I ordered a couple of fun wigs online, anyway. I like wigs though I'm seldom brave enough to wear them outside. I bought a blue one. Gonna get some bad politics and start making a nuisance of myself. :3

(I've had dyed blue hair in the past, tbf, but I didn't dye all of it.)

This is an interview with a bunch of people lying about how much they spend on clothes, imo. "I spend a mere tuppence a month, and I spend it on designer pieces and cashmere!" Ok, something isn't adding up there. Even an outfit from Primark can cost £50-£100. You are not shopping in & Other Stories (where a single jumper costs over £100) and spending £200 a month, you're just not. Tbf, this piece is pre-covid, but still. Lying liars who lie. :P

Wanted a short fluffy coat so I could look like a glamorous 20s starlet. Unfortunately, I just look like a yeti. I don't miiiind looking like a yeti, but it wasn't what I was going for. I think perhaps some of us are born incapable of glamour.

Caved and bought a dramatic poncho/cape/shawl thing. I know I'm never going to wear it because it's going to get on my nerves too much, falling over my arms and stuff, so I've been trying to stay strong and ignore all the dramatic capes in the shops and forget about the possibilities for fabulous brooches, but it was discounted and cosy...
