Yeah. You want a fit and flare coat, but everywhere is sold out because obviously you buy winter coats in the summer. This is why all the Halloween stuff is in shops all of October, and all the Christmas stuff is there for months before. Stupid retail cycles.

Grumble grumble grumble.

I ended up buying a duffel coat from a traditional duffel coat manufacturer, the last time I got cross about this.

I think this time around I'm suffering because of fashion; there are winter coats in the shops but they're all "car coats" (shapeless coats), huge oversized wool things (also shapeless, heavy, and make me look like I've stolen someone else's coat), trenchcoats with no flare (I want flare!) and huge fluffy things (tempted by one of these, tbh, but it'll be the soggiest thing EVER in the rain, so I need to stay strong). At least I've narrowed down what I'm looking for, I guess.

I went on a hike recently with an exceptionally poofy teacup pom. Incredibly tiny little guy; weighed maybe five pounds and about half his diameter was just fluff. He was also in better shape than I was, but I digress.

Now, it was a rather misty day out - the kind of weather where you'd step under a pine tree and wonder if it's raining because water catches on the needles and collect until they drip. It turns out dog floof functions the exact same way. So I just watched this astoundingly fluffy dog get soggier and soggier the whole way...

Anyways, that's what this coat made me think of. I recommend not wearing it in the fog.

Haha, I see a lot of pomeranians like that near me! I do like the idea of half my own diameter being just fluff. But it also rains about half the year, here...

If it goes on sale I'll probably crack.

Deluxe dressing gown, really. Will also get instantly stained.
