I am absolutely *covered*; it's ridiculous; not sure if I should just burn my house down and start over. :'( I briefly thought I'd caught some kind of medieval pox because there were so many red patches on my skin. I'm just realllllyyyy hoping it's not bedbugs because I've heard those are a bastard to get rid of.

You'll have to burn the house down, I'm afraid. Best case scenario, it's spidermites and you're all set. Worst case, it's bedbugs and you'll have to nuke the rest of the world as well.

(I'm sorry, that really sucks. Have helped friends deal with bedbugs before, and it seemed to go on forever.)

Nobody else in the house has visible bites, buuut maybe I'm just the only one reacting to them. Though I don't normally have allergies... *Crosses fingers*

Yeah, if it's bedbugs I think I'm just going to have to leave them to bite me all over and accept that that's just how I look, now. Everyone I know who's dealt with them has said it was a nightmare.

Bite update-- I think it was just midges, and it was just that there were LOADS of them and they flew down my top. It was dark so I didn't see them. I didn't think it was midges at first because they don't normally bite me, but I think the timing of the bites and the lack of subsequent bites mean they must have attacked me while I was outdoors, and I have since noticed a lot of midges out there. So yay, looks like it's not bedbugs, at least!
