Advent Hunt runs December 1 to December 24, with one puzzle being released per day. Most puzzles are medium-difficulty and there are pre-written hints released 24 hours after initial puzzle release. Flightless bird fans may appreciate the theming of this year's hunt.

Thought about doing a post for each day's puzzle but honestly, so far most of the puzzles have sucked. Day 1 was poorly hinted and sucked. Day 2 required obscure pop culture knowledge and sucked. Day 3 had an interesting idea that it ended up doing nothing with and sucked. Day 4 I haven't even touched, but it probably sucked.

But the About page has three penguins in a doctor's coat, so the puzzle hunt still gets a pass from me.

So.. what I'm taking away from your posts is that Advent of Code remains the superior puzzle advent (even though this year it's only running for 12 days).

Probably! Although I generally don't find Advent of Code particularly fun, either. These puzzles have just been not great, and a lot of work to boot.

I feel like Advent Hunt is best when it really leans into the theming. Puzzle #14 has you gerrymander Antarctica in favor of the penguins, for example.

Today's Advent puzzle involves crochet, which was all fine and dandy until these penguins invented a 'w' stitch I've never heard of. Somehow it turns 6 stitches into 3, 6 stitches into 7, and 3 stitches into 4.

Penguins don't even have opposable thumbs! How are they doing crochet?
