Helen Lewis wrote a scathing review of Olivia Nuzzi's new memoir, where the former NYMag writer waxes poetic about her affair with RFK Jr. with lines like 'He desired. He desired desiring. He desired being desired. He desired desire itself.' and 'At least I did not have to worry about the worm that was not a worm in his brain.' Somewhat tempted to pick it up now, if only to kill the last remaining cells that are not cells in my brain.

'Nuzzi posed on the shore of the Pacific Ocean and took the writer to her favorite rock—located, the reporter explained, “at the edge of a vertiginous cliff, where water rolled and crashed.”'

That got a noisy laugh from me.

Also, American Canto is an inspirationally awful name.

'Someone else’s sexual obsession is, by default, illegible and perhaps even horrifying to outsiders.'

More societal awareness of this, plz.
