because i just read a fic that used the term 'misomegist bullshit' and i simply cannot take this seriously

I’m a bit sad, because part of the charm of it, for me, apart from it randomly appearing unannounced in otherwise fairly normal fics, was the sense of young women starting to explore gender (actual gender) without fully realising the level on which they were doing so. If they’re all going to be self-aware about it, I will mind much more when it a ambushes me.

i brought this up to a friend who was like 'this reminds me of the fic i read where the characters were mad about someone 'misgendering' their omegaverse characteristics' and now i am truly losing it
