Hm, magistrates court... So result completely dependent on whims of judge, and doesn't have to accord with the law. 🤔

Wait, I’m confused. She appears to be an actual judge. I thought magistrates were volunteers, as it’s a standard thing retired businessmen do.

So, magistrates are volunteer lay people. And there are usually three hearing each case.
