Date: 2025-08-22 07:21 pm (UTC)Being curmudgeonly, I already object to October being ‘Spooky Season’ rather than November, with Halloween to kick it off, but I understand consumerism and getting people to buy things and supply cycles like all the winter coats being for sale in summer and selling out by actual winter, and people taking their cues from what is being sold to them, and so on.
But it is still August! We are still pretending not to notice the nights starting to draw in, and partying like summer never ends. Don’t take this away from me! Leave me some scraps of summer.
