Today, I got curious about what was in those sachets of "flower food" for cut flowers; I was gonna feed a spare pack to a plant of mine, thinking it would be like baby bio, but then I figured it might just be something to make the flowers *look* more lively, scifi cryogenics-style. So what's inside? Answer: sugar, acid and bleach. :S Apparently they eat the sugar, the acid keeps the stems open (to draw in water) and the bleach keeps the vase clean. So... I did not put this on any of my plants. Learn from my investigation, dans!
