Thinking about how odd the word "enjoyable" is. I'm guessing that English ppl tacked on the "-able" later, to match up with the way other French words worked, because "enjoy" was from French "en joie", but looks like the French never put -able on the end of that. I also wonder if it was originally a bit of a joke word-- stick on a French ending to make it sound fancier-- or if people just found it natural to adjust it that way.
