They paywalled the top of the Magnet tower in Shibuya! It's 1800 yen (drink included) now.

Instead we went to the abandoned bar on 9F and craned our heads around to get a glimpse of the legendary Shibuya Scramble. Wasn't actually all that scramble-y since it was mid-morning on a Monday, but close enough.

I remember the metro line from Tokyo to Harajuku, + Harajuku station itself, was horrendously busy all day, so you could try that!

My friend wanted to see Harajuku, so I took her down to Takeshita Street with the caveat that it's hell on earth, and it was, in fact, hell on earth. Was raining today so slightly fewer people out, but that just meant everyone had umbrellas battling for dominance.

Originally planned to walk Cat Street from Shibuya to Harajuku instead, but it was just too wet out. Still walked some of it, but was a little disappointed. When people said it was a fashion hub I was expecting cool Japanese brands, not Fjallraven and Columbia.

You might see more fashionable people (or perhaps, stylish people) around the businessy areas (Roppongi Hills, Minato). Harajuku was mostly cosplayers, as I remember it.
