Why did I always get kudos from COMMENT_ME_JAPANESE_TITS? Why did I never get kudos from Carl Gauss? What's a girl got to do to attract a studly mathematician to her principia-mathematica-omegaverse fanfic? I'd proved the number 4 at least twenty times! But no, Gauss and his cute flowery signature were nowhere to be seen! Just me, the Hell Hounds, and the stalwart tit-requester. Typical.

(I then asked a crap online AI for the lulz; it spent about half an hour insisting they had named themselves after Voldemort to emphasize their connection to him, and since he had an M in his name, they had used one, too. I finally succeeded in explaining to it How Naming Things Works (including such subtleties as: you name the later thing AFTER the earlier thing), at which point it offered a few more creative theories:

* "Magic" starts with m and they are moste Magical

* "Mother" starts with m, and they're all 'bout that lineage (the AI then got confused and decided that "lineage" and "legend" also started with m).

* Legendary dark witches'n'wizards have names starting with M, so it might be a reference or tie to them (morgana/morgan le fay)

* They named themselves after Voldemort because he has an m in his name (it was just too attached to this stupid theory to give it up entirely, I guess)

I quite liked the Morgana theory tbf.)
