We got a table! But they'd squashed everyone up too close so we were all stuck in a state of listening-in and being-listened-in-to, and I think they've changed the ramen recipe because I swear it was nowhere neeeear as good as usual, and mostly tasted of lao gan ma. So was rather disappoint. Still nice night out, though.

Since the ramen wasa disappointment, I decided to MAKE ramen! It turned out amazing last time!

But I have no noodles in. So this time might not go so well... =)

OTOH now my kitchen smells of seaweed, which is the main thing.

I got some dried seaweed and didn’t realise quite how dried it was: when I hydrated it, I was eating seaweed for days.

I do this all the time with dried mushrooms! I won't have enough mushrooms, I say, two hours before my entire counter fills with rehydrated mushrooms.
