> I get it. They’re too one-dimensional. That’s right. Wales is a proud and vibrant country, and it’s disappointing to see it reduced like this.

Except they're reducing Wales to... the good bits of Wales. I mean we can add back in the racist kids on bikes if you want but. Other than that, I'm just not sure there's much market for 50k words on the excellence of bacon sandwiches in Penmaenmawr.

But I'm biased. Welsh side of my family are the worst.

My main reaction is something along the lines of "welcome to how the rest of the world feels when we're just exotic locales for American writers."

I read an urban fantasy series by an Aus author who apparently did not do her damn research because she put two towns in states on the opposite end of the country next yo each other.

A friend of mine used to work for the San Francisco office of a company headquartered in the UK, and apparently the main office kept sending over packages for both the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices because you could 'just run them over to the other office.' Took them a while to realize that SF and LA are five hours away from each other.

Anyways, there should be more books that treat America like an exotic locale. We're a magical, rural, romantic place too, we swear.
