This dan doesn't drink matcha but will drop in (maliciously?) to suggest drinking black tea. You can start with spiced blends with milk and sugar to adjust to the taste!

I actually do drink black tea, I just find matcha a gentler swap for when I really want the morning caffeine hit!

Ah, my go to for the that is pu-erh. Especially if you resteep, it gives me almost as much caffeine as coffee, or perhaps even more. Enough to make me jittery if I'm not careful.

Iiiiinteresting. I don't notice a strong licorice taste but then again I really like licorice so maybe I'm subconsciously enjoying it without noticing. Good luck finding the matcha of your dreams. (To me all green tea tastes like grass.)

Ironic! I dislike licorice but like the grassy taste of green tea! Thank you, am exploring the rec of the other matcha dan!
