Date: 2024-10-17 07:08 pm (UTC)Guy tries to cook every recipe in a fancy restaurant cookbook that's pretty much just a fuck you to anyone looking to recreate their recipes at home, eventually gets hired by them. My favorite part is the blog posts where he gets really excited over the exotic flavors and the equipment and all the hard work he put into replicating the recipe and then his wife kindly reminds him that it tastes bad.

Date: 2024-10-22 08:06 pm (UTC)This is a recipe from one of the Noma cookbooks, apparently, which I only know of because it's allegedly Monsieur Lavery's favorite restaurant. Wonder if he'll ever try his hand at marrow fudge given that he seems to be trying to rebrand himself as a gastronomer, what with the harvesting moldy corn from pumpkin patches and buying $200 artisan miso agers and all.
