It really makes me want to create an account and post as if I am a small child, though, with my ‘girl dinner’ being two party rings, a slice of buttered bread cut into triangles, a slice of cheddar, eight jelly tots, half an apple in slices, half a satsuma in separate segments, some cucumber slices, a carrot. Maybe some days I’d have a babybel, or cocktail sausages, or a spoonful of humous. Maybe some days I’d have crackers, or a handful of pombears.

How long would it take people to realise ‘I’ was 6?

Bonus points for always picturing it on a small plastic plate.

That feels like it’s drifting into proper early 20th century children’s food, where supper would be bread and butter, and if you finished that then bread and jam, and then if you finished that a piece of cake.

This reminds me of the 'white people food' trend that was going around Chinese social media recently, where people were putting two carrots and a whole bell pepper on a plate and going 'Look, I'm having white people food for lunch!'

Yeah, it's mostly just shitposting. Raw vegetables for lunch are just funny.

I think there was a philosophical bent to it later where people were talking about how it reflects the stress of the workplace and how low-effort lunches are a parallel to 'quiet quitting,' but that's too deep for me.

Cool, it's a popular White People stereotype here so I wasn't sure because I know friends who will believe that in all sincerity despite the Age of the Interwebs...maybe because of it...
