I learned Scheme as a part of my first CS course. Was a pretty cool way to introduce how the type of language you choose influences how you write programs.

Usually I don't see pure Lisp these days, just dialects. My team used to do some of our unit tests in Clojure before some of the founding members left and we realized having tests that only I knew how to maintain was a bad idea.

I've seen the Clojure mentioned around but never done anything with it. :) I figured I'd start off with ye olden common Lisp and then look into dialects; have always been glad I went from C to python rather than vice versa.
