I started reading the rickford one but it's lonnnng. it started off well but it veered off; I think it totally misses that these guys will just take whatever words women use, because they want what's women's *because women have it*. you will not keep women's rights safe by using sex-based terms, because they will redefine those terms. so it's not engaging with what people are actually doing when insisting on plain language, ie: trying to push men further away from doing that. again, it doesn't look at the sociology, how confusions get exploited over time.

so then I see there are pages and pages more about very serious political stuff and I feel like, well, I don't think you have a realistic picture of the little thing, why would I trust you on the big one.

I diagnose the team with too much and too little internet. the black and white thinking they're describing isn't a new development, they just, for whatever reason, weren't seeing it. so am a bit exasperated.
