Date: 2023-01-14 09:45 pm (UTC)FWIW, a few of my doors do that when the latch is caught at the edge of the box, but not firmly seated in the box (old house, old doors, old latches, and sometimes I'm too lazy to close a door firmly and wiggle until it's all the way caught). They're not open, but the bolt on each door will slip out of the box again easily if you hit it right, and then it will bounce open.
