She takes a saucepan out of a cupboard and fills it with something that looks like milk. She puts the saucepan in the oven for a bit. Then she takes it out, pours in a sachet of something, and doesn't stir. Bf takes the drink. There are hard, undissolved crystals in it. He bites one; it's just sugar. The whole thing tastes like condensed milk with only the faintest hint of coffee.
Moment of appreciation for the weird foodstuffs you only ever get at relatives' houses.
