I don't really know it can. I feel like Kubo is the extreme end of pantsing. It made the SS arc seem great but it started to get stale by Arrancar and rancid by fake KT. Like, my fundamental problem with TYBW

Is that it's built on a lot of contrived/last minute background about the Quincy actually having been a major threat, Yhwach's power is never really established, oh they steal bankai now, and this comes more or less after one arc that felt very filler because those people showed up and then vanished again (Fullbringer), and now Ichigo is suddenly half-Quincy and Yhwach has been posing as his zanpakuto.

It's very drama for the same of drama, and even more power bloat on top of the existing power bloat. New reveals about Masaki et al aren't interesting, and 'Oh, Yhwach killed your mum' 'also Ishida is evil but HAHAHA J/K NOT EVIL'

I think TYBW was unnecessary and the best way to fix it was if it'd never happened and we'd stopped on Ichigo's power loss and/or cut short the Fullbringer arc because it just never really changed.

I think the good comparison is JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. There are fights where it's fifty layers of "U ACTIVATED MAH TRAP CARD!" but it's done in a way that seems like intellectual sparring. When it happens for everything, everyone, and every other fight in Bleach, it gets very tiring very fast.
