Still idly watching the jack monroe drama, aka hoopgate. It led to me looking at a few more tweets and vids of hers, and I'm getting more and more amazed that anyone takes her stuff seriously. There was one "recipe" that went "half fill a mug with pasta. Put water and a stock cube on it. Microwave it in the most fucking complex way you've ever seen; play jenga with like 3 dishes and some clingfilm and then take it out every minute, shuffle things around and put it back in again. Repeat for like 10 minutes. When it's 'done', put some grated cheese on top."

WHY IN THE FUCK WOULD YOU DO THIS

still thinking about this. there are some microwave meals where it makes sense to do the whole clingfilm shenanigans so that they retain their moisture. Fairly sure pasta is not one. I never put clingfilm on ramen.

so you can instantly improve this 'recipe' by just putting the stuff in a bowl. still looks gross, though tbf I don't like mac and cheese anyway
