Post about fandom! Or whatever! Whether it's a rave about some obscure series, or an essay dissecting every last reason why some internet-famous author should rethink their career, someone will probably read it at some point! We also just chat about life.

Nice to see a pleasant garden near the top of meme. Share all things plants!

I made a halfassed attempt to plant my garden in suffragette colors (mostly since I had a bunch of purple plant seeds lying around), because this is clearly v v valuable activism. The plants have come up more pink than expected so it's a lot cutesier than I'd intended.

Everyone around here grows roses, and I decided to try my hand at it. The plant hasn't died, but, er ... I do not have a green thumb. Fingers crossed that it lives through the summer.

Tell me if you figure it out! I've had a rose for what feels like 5 years, and it's had one flower in all that time.

It's still alive! I started watering it every day instead of every other day, and it immediately started doing better. Right now it has two flowers open and two buds coming up. The flowers don't last open longer than a week at most, but they're looking healthier than before.

Congrats, nonny! Mine's still alive, but no flowers this year so far, and it's looking a bit... crinkly.

I posted on the last gardening thread about some indoor wildflowers I'm trying to grow that my cats trampled to death, wondering if they would come back. Well I kept watering the dirt and two new sprouts are coming up now :)

I guess they're from different seeds that hasn't sprouted the first time around? I don't know how it works but I'm glad they made their way up.

Was worried I'd broken my toe while gardening (walked into a garden chair and stubbed it) but I think I got away with it. Still, reminder to meme to avoid any and all physical activity.

Bought a new watering can. It's the size of a small child. Now I am fearsome.

I came back from holiday and collected my plants from the six neighbors I had spread them out among. Some did brilliantly. But one neighbor must have not even watered the mint once, because it was unbelievably shriveled and brown.

Whatever. I'll concentrate on the neighbors who were so kind to my tomatoes and my cucumber plant, even gently untwirling all its tendrils so we could move it back.

sympathies. I have a friend who is willing to water my plants when I'm away, which is kind of her and I'm grateful, but she always does a bit of a crap job of it and kills a bunch of plants. I'm more puzzled than irritated by it. They don't need complex watering. I can't work out what she does.

This seems like a good way to vet your neighbors.

My amaryllis has grown a green shoot out of season. Pleased, but wondering if I ought to be freaked out and this is an omen. I don't believe in omens but I like the aesthetic of believing in them, so sometimes I like to pursue that line of enquiry.

My orange tree is suddenly sprouting new leaves. Seems like all my plants have gone haywire this month.
