it's not like I know her that well, so anything's possible!, but she never mentioned an oscar wilde obsession. mostly posts about eye makeup and curries. I find it funny that she's gone for such a stereotypical 'girl picks a name for herself' sort of a name and that she hopped on the trend so late. she has no link to the dorian people and afaik doesn't know any music theory so I doubt it has anything to do with dorian mode, either. so currently I'm assuming it was like 'my old name didn't make me sound hot but I reckon this one does'.

I do also know a slightly younger woman who changed her name to james moriarty istg.
