Wow, congrats nonnie!

As for me, what I did for my niche discord server was to observe other discord servers in the same fandom and invite only sane-sounding people. Invitations may be the way to go, depending on how big the fandom is and how old the median age range is.

Yeah, we're starting off just doing invites. :) Also planning to advertise it whenever I post fic. Currently going back and forth with the other mod about the site guidelines. I want it to be really clear that gendernonsense is not welcome on the site, partly because TRAs take over and make a mess everywhere they go, and partly because I don't want to be running a site where girls are exchanging plastic surgeon recs. But that's hard to balance against having a friendly, welcoming tone, and she reckons my wording is too fighty. :P So we're working on it. I really don't wanna have people on the site for like 6 months without realising it's run by the terrible terven and then finding out and flipping out. And I don't want people trying to invite their creepy missing-stair friends who boast about stealing their mothers' underwear or w/e, and then being hurt and baffled that we went 'nnnnnope'. Though nobody reads site guidelines anyway so maybe there's nothing I can do to stop that. I'm glad we've got different personalities, anyway.
