:D I feel like I ooooought to go to that but I haven't booked tickets. It's like an 8 hour journey. The temptation to sit at home eating buttery hot cross buns is strong.

This is what I said when partner got them in, tbf; does feel like sacrilege! Partner was unaware they were seasonal. The taste makes sense as an autumn/winter food, but still.

But now they must be eaten or they will expire. As problems go, it's a pleasant one.

I have no objection to eating them, it’s just bizarre! Without the cross, it’s a tasty sticky currant bun with standard mixed spice, like rock cakes and Christmas cake. With the cross, it’s an Easter food. It’s like buying fairy cakes specifically with little Santa heads piped on, in June.

Agreed! The weirdest part is that he's the one with the Christian family; he grew up going to church, reciting the prayers and doing all those specific rituals that I don't know enough about to describe here because the only religious people in my family are Muslim lmfao. so why do i know more about his crucifixion currant buns than he does.
