LOL, who is on that production team? Do they make these for the shock value? There are plenty of people mocking him online, so I wonder if that's part of the marketing plan...

I think he's just inept but doesn't really care if people trash it? I mean he's already making the same vids like 5 times with slight tweaks to the scripts, and buying views, so I assume he thinks all publicity is good publicity and just wants to game the algorithm. =D I'd feel bad about giving him the attention but otoh I gotta say, there's an art to making a video that's indistinguishable from something straight out of kiwifarms. When something is this bad, I think it ought to be seen and preserved.

There's also a Mexican Culture one that's even more nonsensical. The teen in this one is a guy so he seems super abusive and like some kind of delusional and dangerous far-right extremist. The mother says she spent all morning hanging up 4 paper tassels (like: https://i.etsystatic.com/13118662/r/il/70356f/1375153511/il_794xN.1375153511_fau5.jpg , just one tassel on each kitchen cupboard handle), and then the friend comes round and is like 'I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS! THESE DECORATIONS ARE SO COOL! YOU DID ALL THIS YOURSELF?!!'. And it seems like he's flirting with her.

Looked it up. He even put in the same "what is that smell" bit omg. The shot at the beginning shows a piñata, so maybe that's what the mother was talking about?

These are professionally shot, how is nobody saying anything about the insane scripts? What kid can say "I told you not to cook that crap" to their parent without getting verbally or physically smacked down?

Miguel talking to the mother seemed more overly friendly American turned up to 11 than flirting to me, idk.

Ok, when does someone who acts like such a jerk ever do a 180 when a friend tells a sad story fdhgjfdkghfjdfd I know it's supposed to be a story with a moral, but that is not how human behavior works arghhhh. I want to stop watching these but every time I see this crazy man's name I get sucked back in...

This is why he read as some kind of abuser to me, seemed like it was some long-established dynamic that he got aggressive with his mother and treated her like crap. :(

I didn't notice the mouth sounds and I'm not going back to look for them!

It is kind of addictive watching people be really implausibly rude to each other and then changing in equally implausible ways with nobody questioning their reality. It's like watching a script written by a 7yo but with serious production values. We're getting a direct peek into the mind of a child. It's its own genre of theatre.
